FUELSAVE GmbH is proud to announce to have successfully completed a series of laboratory measurements with the Forschungszentrum für Verbrennungsmotoren und Thermodynamik Rostock GmbH (FVTR) of the university of Rostock. The FVTR is one of Europes leading R&D institutes and experts in combustion engines and thermodynamics with worldwide recognized test laboratories that even have a license to run Heavy Fuel Oils ( HFO) on land. FVTR customers include but are not limited to MAN, MTU, MaK, ABB, BOSCH, etc.
The test series was used to determine that there is no harm to the operating engine and to learn about tendencies for emission reduction, applying the technology at various operational set points. FVTR was able to confirm that there is no harm to the operating engine and that emission reduction capabilities are able to make ships where FS MARINE+ is being installed IMO tier I and IMO tier II compliant.
Due to the 1 cylinder test setup with a non-automatic regulated engine the focus was logically not to determine the maximum efficiency enhancements possible, but to learn about tendencies and general aspects to validate these findings with the real measurements taken on-board of a customer vessel.
Following findings have been confirmed bz the FVTR:
- REDUCTION IN FUEL CONSUMPTION
- REDUCTION IN EMISSIONS ( IMO TIER I & TIER II COMPLIANT)
- NO HARM TO THE OPERATING ENGINE
